Years ago I was introduced to a philosophical "way of life" commonly known in Japan as "Wabi-Sabi. the closest English word to Wabi-Sabi is "Rustic". Some of the Spiritual values of Wabi-Sabi are: All things are impermanent, All things are imperfect, All things are incomplete, "Greatness exists in the inconspicuous and overlooked details, "Beauty" can be coaxed out of Ugliness.
