In visual arts, a cityscape (urban landscape) is an artistic representation of the physical aspects of a city or urban area. It is the urban equivalent of a landscape. Unlike the natural textures and shapes of a landscape, the inorganic design and architecture of cityscapes offers clean lines and right angles of shadow and light.
