Experience "The West Best Short Whitewater Trip", as named by National Geographic Magazine. Westwater Canyon, is a canyon located on the Colorado River in Eastern Utah between Grand Junction, Colorado and Moab, Utah. The inner gorge of the canyon is made up of black Precambrain rock and contains class III and IV rapids which are well sought after by whitewater enthusiasts. The most notable rapid, called "Skull", is by far the most significant, and is the origin of legend, tragedy and triumph. There are also many other famous rapids known to the boating community such as last chance rapid and sock-it-to-me. Armed with a new Canon G9 digital camera I was able to capture better quality video and sound. The river was running faster this spring making this trip a-bit "wetter" for passengers in the front. We also began the second season of Canadian Lighted Can Frisbee introducing League t-shirts, "blinking" lighted cans, a four red lighted LED Frisbee and included women into the League! A revolutionary 2008 season!
Below are NEW video clips and images from the April 2008 trip.
