Tonya and I love to travel. Locally or internationally nothing beats a few day's away from the neighbourhood and work. You will find along the navigation bar above "Hiking & Camping" and "Kayaking & Rafting". Each page is has an overview (with links for more information) and photo's about a place or activity that Tonya and I have explored over the years and we thought you might consider some of these for your next adventure. Below are some video clips we took during our trip to New Zealand in 2005.

Fustrated with your travel planning?

Here are a few tips from Jupiter.

  1. Make a list of everything that you would like to do and then figure out a location that accomondates those activites.
  2. Do reseach online, however do not overlook print media. Check out your libraries selection of guidebooks, books older then three to five years might be too outdated.
  3. E-mail or call ahead. Contact the guide service or tourism board in that area for more current information and ideas.
  4. Be realistic about the weather. Spring and Fall may be cheaper times to go, but rainy weather is probably the reason.
  5. If your traveling overseas try to allot two or three weeks as a minimum. You will spend two to four days just in travel to and from your destination. Make sure you can schedule a day off before returning to work, nothing harder then coming to work after a red-eye flight that prior evening.
  6. If your traveling in the USA on a holiday weekend leave a few day's before or stay a day longer, beats sitting in traffic or stuck at the airport.
  7. Enjoy every minute, your on Holiday!
